Feasibility Studies and Project Management

MGS, by completing the necessary technical personnel and infrastructure in 2011, created a “Project Design Department” to carry out the study, project and engineering services in various sectors. MGS with its project design department aims to provide engineering and consultancy services to institutions and organizations operating especially in the energy, environment and mining sectors with its experienced staff. With its expert staff that closely follows new technologies and developments, it aims to produce safe, economical and environmentally compatible projects without sacrificing quality.

Terrestrial Map

In our terrestrial mapping studies, we perform metric measurement of the area to be mapped and the expression and depiction of the obtained spatial  data in the form of maps and plans by evaluating them in a computer environment; all kinds of measurement, calculation, analysis and visualization services depending on the location.

The aim of our studies is to develop and use various  spatial techniques based on modern technology to better understand, plan, organize, monitor and manage the area to be mapped, to product various maps and spatial information for country needs (planning, property, defense, etc.), engineering projects and society, and to precisely determine the location of projects on the ground.

Bathymetric Mapping

Within the scope of our bathymetric map studies, water depth is measured and mapped throughout the underwater area. Bathymetric maps are used as measurements in the depths of sea, lake, etc. areas.

The bathymetric map represents in-depth oceans, seas or lakes in a given area. You can use a variety of representations, including color and stroke lines. Some bathymetric maps can be used to show differences in underwater depth levels in a region.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Services

Geographic Information Systems (GIS), which is defined as; the display of information in all geographically coordinated forms, effectively finding and subtracting, recording, updating, examining, analyzing; and personnel, computer hardware, software and organized collection of geographic data, is used in almost every region in regional planning.

Topographical, geological, hydrogeological, etc. information about land planning is shaped into a database within GIS to form data layers. The information in this database is then shaped using a variety of analysis and query techniques and result maps are derived. The result maps obtained are used in various planning studies.

Geology and Geotechnics

In the scope of geological and geotechnical services, we provide comprehensive services on the subjects of the formation of the earth’s crust; its physical, chemical and mechanical properties; the exploration and development of natural resources (minerals, oil, coal, industrial raw materials) which are the fields of activity of geological engineering; search, development and management of groundwater resources; the selection of locations of various engineering structures (dams, tunnels, roads, etc.) and  stability  analyses of these structures; research and analysis of building materials; and the development of measures to identify natural disasters and mitigate the risks associated with them.

Our mission within the scope of MGS Geological and Geotechnical  Services is to be a solution partner that can produce solutions to the problems needed by the private, public and state sectors in matters of interest in geological engineering; by closely following scientific and technological developments and implementing this information as soon as possible; learnt to learn and continuously improving itself.

As MGS, we carry out research and development studies in order our employees within the scope of geological and geotechnical services to reach the latest articles published in the world and to be familiar with the real-time applications of these articles.

By providing information about scientific and technological developments to our working partners, it is explained how and for what purpose we will implement these innovations in line with the principle of benefit-cost in the projects they will receive services from us. Thus, the latest techniques and methods applied in the world are presented to our working partners in the projects we will do.

With our innovative understanding, unlike stereotypical projects carried out without regarding to benefit and cost, we give importance to cost analysis in the projects we will carry out and produce optimal on-site solutions.

Within the scope of our mining services, we carry out all technical support activities related to the exploration, extraction and operation of underground mines. We are involved in all stages in the process of removing any substance of economic value such as ore, industrial raw materials, coal and oil in the supply shell and becoming economically beneficial. The purpose of mining is to provide the economy with the necessary natural raw materials. We provide all technical support developed to rationally supply minerals of economic importance to the industry. Our scope of service includes operations related to the exploration, projecting, operation and enrichment of the mine deposits.

Open Pit Design

Computer-based programs are used at every stage of open pit design construction. First of all, the material with economic value to be removed from the pit and the material without economic value are determined with the help of geological studies. The blocks to be produced are planned and the equipment to be used is determined. The orientation of the quarry is created. Methods of obtaining blocks are optimized according to the characteristics of the pit. With this optimization, maximum block gain is targeted with minimum energy consumption (oil fuels, electricity, water, etc.). Production plans are created to minimize block loss during block removal.

Systematic Ore Bed Detection

The characteristics of the geophysical and drilling activities to be carried out for the determination of the ore deposit must be determined very well. In order to detect geochemical behaviors and distributions in the field of mineralization (oreing), it is necessary to examine and analyze the trace elements in detail in the areas investigated as ore deposits. Many samplings are performed in the areas where the ore bed is investigated. These samplings include rock sampling, soil sampling, and so on. After this evaluation, the economic aspect of ore is evaluated. Accessibility to ore and its cost are analyzed.

They are hot water, steam and gases containing chemicals, formed by heat that exists at various depths of the earth’s crust. These sources formed by heat have a high amount of energy according to the way they are formed. Being able to determine thermal energy sources is a subject that requires expertise and is done by applying and evaluating geological, geochemical, mineralogical, hydrogeological and geophysical researches together.

The general purpose of geothermal exploration is to find a geothermal system where energy can be produced economically. Geothermal energy resources are searched in large areas and as the data is obtained as a result of the researches, the area investigated is narrowed. Thus, the time to reach the geothermal resource is shortened. At the same time, the benefit-cost criteria are taken into consideration in the studies carried out, and therefore, the research studies carried out become economical.

The operation projects that we will prepare before the Application of The Operating License are prepared in line with the criteria such as integrated use, natural output welding, protection of geothermal reservoir, environmental pollution and sustainable production principle from the geothermal system. We provide consultancy services for the execution of activities and transactions to be carried out within the framework of scientific and technical principles during the license period after the preparation of operation projects.

We serve within the scope of the Geothermal Resources and Natural Mineral Waters Law numbered as 5686 and published in 2007 which is on the search of geothermal resources and natural mineral waters, the exploration, development, production, protection of resources, rights over these resources and the transfer of rights, and the most efficient evaluation of them in accordance with the environment. Within the scope of the service, the data obtained after the necessary surface surveys are carried out on the land are evaluated. After the evaluation, the necessary studies (number of wells, depths, locations, geophysical studies, etc.) are determined. All our studies are carried out by Benefit-Cost criteria and we benefit from the latest information and technology in our applications.

Being able to determine thermal energy sources is a subject that requires expertise, it is done by applying and evaluating geological, geochemical, mineralogical, hydrogeological and geophysical researches together. Therefore, in all preliminary studies and preliminary feasibility studies, we determine all the characteristics of the thermal energy source accurately and clearly and ensure the determination of the economic analysis is to be steady.
